Low Voltage Aerial Bundle Cable with PE insulation

Low Voltage Aerial Bundle Cable with PE insulation is designed for overhead distribution lines. It consists of insulated neutral messenger wire made of AAAC, overwhich the insulated aluminium phase conductors are helically wound.

 

Construction

Phase conductors
The phase and street lighting conductors (if any) shall be of three quarter hard drawn aluminium conductors and stranded, compacted circular.

Neutral conductor
The neutral ot messenger conductor shall be of aluminium alloy and stranded circular.

Insulation
The insulation shall be of black weather-resistant PE

1 x 16mm² + 25mm²
3 x 16mm² + 25mm²
3 x 95mm² + 70mm² + 16mm²
3 x 185mm² + 120mm² + 16mm²

Construction

Conductor
Plain circular stranded compacted aluminium conductor

Conductor screen
Extruded semiconductive compound

Insulation
Extruded cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) rated 90°C

Insulation screen
Extruded semi-conductive strippable type compound.

Metallic screen
Two layers of plain annealed copper tape of nominal thickness 0.1mm applied helically over the insulation screen.

Separator
A layer of non-hygroscopic tape is applied over the metallic screen

Outer sheath
Extruded black UV resistant PVC compound

Messenger
Stranded round galvanized steel wires

Assembly
The three single cores are stranded with a long lay around the messenger

Insulation screen
Extruded semi-conductive bonded type compound.

Metallic screen
Two layers of plain annealed copper tape of nominal thickness 0.1mm applied helically over the insulation screen.
